ERCOM has a dedicated team of highly experienced Geologist, Raw Materials technologist & Mining Engineers to carry out assignments covering complete Geological Prospecting including Topographic Survey, Core Drilling, Geological Mapping, complete supervision of Site Investigation, Sampling and Analysis, preparation of Geological Reports, Environmental Reports and Mining Plans. The services provided by ERCOM are detailed under the following heads:
• Preparation of Computer Aided Deposit Evaluation. Through CADE a geological model is prepared to accurately represent not only the grade of a particular type of deposit but also its boundaries and internal structure.
• Preparation of Mining Plan and Production Scheduling (MP-QSO).
• Preparation of Statutory Mining Plan (For Approval from Indian Bureau of Mines, IBM).
• Preparation of Progressive Mine Closure Plan (PMCP) and Mine Rehabilitation Plan (MRP).
Preparation of Deposit Development Matrix, covering the plan for Geological Exploration Work. Detailed Geological prospecting work is carried out by engaging a core drilling agency. The activities involved in Geological prospecting campaign include:
• Study of the Topographic survey map.
• Study of the available Geological maps and preparation of the exploration plan including bore hole location.
• Performing Drilling activity in selected location. (through a drilling agency to be engaged separately)
• Core Logging and preparation of samples (both surface and core logs)
• Preservation of Samples in Core Boxes.
• Chemical Analysis of Samples for TC / MC, 6 & 13 Radicals.
• Preparation of Geological Maps / and Sections
• Preparation of Geological Report covering estimation of Reserves and quality analysis.
ERCOM has carried out comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study and developed Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for a large number of Cement Projects for obtaining approval from concerned authorities / Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEF).
EIA Studies helps ascertain and address potential environmental problems at an early stage of Project Planning and Design. EIA / EMP Studies helps in the decision making process by identifying key impact issues and formulating mitigation measures.
The scope of coverage under EIA / EMP studies includes understanding Impact and Mitigation Plan:
• Impact on Ambient air quality (SPM, SO2, NOx & CO).
• Review of Meteorological Data (Wind Velocity & Direction, Temperature, Humidity, Rainfall etc.)
• Identification of Water environment including water bodies & water quality, near the project site.
• Noise environment including noise levels & ground vibration studies.
• Land environment including soil analysis & any existing solid waste disposal.
• Environment covering aquatic life habitats like mangroves, wetland coral reefrek.
• Economic Environment data on people, land use pattern, historical monuments etc., industries within 10 KM radius.
